The Nelson Riddle Tribute Orchestra...

The Nelson Riddle Tribute Orchestra was formed specifically to accompany two major touring
shows - the 'Stephen Triffitt celebrates Sinatra' and 'Bobby Darin Songbook' shows, the latter
featuring Britain's top swing vocalist Tony Benedict.

However, it has also found it's own place as a superb orchestra able to offer itself as an
accompaniment to any high quality singer. It has performed on 2 occasions with British singer Joe
Longthorne
, and has accompanied many of the modern swing stylists around today.

The orchestra carries it's own library of musical arrangements, covering around 250 titles of music
transcriptions of Nelson Riddle's original arrangements for Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella
Fitzgerald, Linda Ronstadt and Dean Martin
. It also includes a number of the original scores of
instrumental hits arranged by Nelson Riddle, obtained from Greg's colleague Keith Pawlak, who
manages the Nelson Riddle Music Archives in Arizona University.

Nelson Riddle was particularly known for his superb string section arrangements, and this tribute
orchestra often adds a string section for high profile concerts and performances.

The orchestra is directed by Greg Francis, who has personally transcribed and re-orchestrated most
of the music scores.
